Hollow Tree Hill Farm    

After a log is chosen, it is dried, cut to length and then hand chiseled to smooth and enlarge the inner hollow.

Each home is made unique by nature's own designs.

The log is counter sunk into the roof for added protection from inclement weather. Openings into the homes slope downward towards the outside to direct rain out of the home. 

The bases are recessed into the houses for a more aesthetic appearance and can easily be removed for "Spring Cleaning". If Nature did not provide a drain for the home, a small drip point is created to keep the inside from retaining water.

All exposed raw wood is sealed with a protective Poly-Stain product. Great care is taken that all interior surfaces are natural and have not been chemically treated.

Occasionally we come upon a larger tree that has reached the end of its productive life. Portions of these are created into distinct, useful pieces for our human friends. Keep checking back to see what's new in the shop!
